Chanel Cruise 2017 Brings Glamour to Cuba
This year like every year, Karl Lagerfeld spared no expense for his esteemed guests. For Chanel Crusie 2017 he gathered the fashion elite in Cuba, and made it the backdrop for his colorful collection. The evening began with 170 colorful vintage cars transporting the guests to El Paseo Del Prado, the chosen show venue in central Havana. Redesigned in 1928 at the request of the Cuban president by French landscape architect, Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier, who decorated the space with eight bronze lions by French sculptor, Jean Puiforcat, and Cuban sculptor, Juan Comas, which perfectly illustrates the ties between France and Cuba, perfect for Chanel, Non?!
The front row included Gisele, Vanessa Paradis, and Vin Diesel, who is currently in Havana filming the The Fast and The Furious 8. The collection was grandeur and introduced a rainbow of colors and cuts. We saw fitted dresses, ‘Coco’ T-shirts, socks paired with heels, feathered brooches, fedoras, and sequined berets. The perfect wardrobe for a globetrotter!
