Not everyone is born cool, but for 30 year-old Azarakhsh Akbari the statement can’t be more true! The fabulous Miss Akbari is an online editor at JAN magazine living in Amsterdam, aka the city of uber-coolness, in addition to her nine to five, she an active and avid instagrammer. Due to long sleepless nights, D-journal is proud to present your next follow! Get to know the it-girl, her passions, musings, and everything in between…
Have you always had a passion for fashion?
Always always always. I think I was about 8 years old when Clueless hit theaters. I made my mom buy me the tape and watched it probably over a hundred times. I used to fantasize about one day owning the same computerized closet system as Cher.
If we got a sneak peak into your wardrobe, what would we find?
Staples and staples of jeans; skinny’s, girlfriend, mom, boyfriend, flares etc. the same goes for button down’s, simple white Tee’s, and LOTS of shoes.
What morning routines are religious for you?
That would be coffee. I do not come to life before I’ve had a cup or two. Other than that I’m pretty chill in the morning 😉
What do you collect and why?
Shoes! Does one need a reason to buy shoes? No but seriously; I can’t explain it. I just have a huge shoe fetish.
What’s your detox and retox?
To be honest, I can’t think of anything. My problem is I just binge on everything.. without the detox part! Dammit..
What is your everyday uniform?
Jeans and a button down shirt, or high waisted cropped pants with a T-shirt. As for shoes, they would either be loafers or heels.
What is your signature dish in the kitchen?
I can’t cook to save my life… I spend about as much money on eating out as I do on clothing.
Where will you be summer 2016 spiritually, professionally, and physically?
Happy and healthy really, that’s all I wish for. Not just this summer, but all year round.
Your Perfect weekend…
Is one spent with family and friends. And a lot of food and wine is included 😉
Lusting after right now…
Everything nano! Every bag there is out there, I am lusting over the nano versions they have.
Can’t live without…
My Gucci loafers. I’ve had them for years, keep buying new ones whenever they start to look too shabby, and I can’t imagine life without them. Or I can, but it would be a pretty sucky one.
