KTX archiLAB has designed a new futuristic pharmacy located in close proximity to a nearby hospital in Japan. The project is meant to further promote the hospital by giving it a new, more inviting image.

Much like the key draw to virtually any given pharmacy is to of course obtain medicines or remedies for a particular illness, the design elements behind this futuristic Japanese location focus on aspects of healing, which is often times associated with peaceful nature. Thus, natural materials such as trees and flowers have been incorporated into the pharmacy, in addition to green walls.

The facade of the commercial space is contoured by sharp edges, while the majority of the interior is ultimately quite minimal. The entrance is in turn positioned in the direction of the hospital as to further connect and promote each location.
